Seems every time it snows or gets below zero, the network news folks think…this has never happened before. Had to chuckle when one fella told the reporter…”up here we call this WINTER !!!”. Right on! Seems no one under 40 would know about the winters back in the 50s, 60s, & 70s. Many were brutal with lots of snow, but before cell phones & social media. Now every traffic accident caused by icy roads is due to EXTREME WEATHER. What a joke.
No joke is the lack of tornadoes during 2014. Remember the AGW Alarmists warned of “more frequent & severe Hurricanes & tornadoes”. Hasn’t happened. But the plan remains unchanged. Gotta pass taxes to curb “carbon pollution”. Keep your eyes open. Never mind the only thing the taxes will do is make a few folks ( Al Gore) rich and not reduce pollution one bit.
Locally, we will be brushed by the latest Arctic Blast, but I think computer models are too cold for us. They have the North Shore 19-23 on Thursday morning with the South Shore 25-30. I’m thinking more like what we had back in November…22-25 NS with 29-33 South. Our warmest day this week will be Tuesday (near 60) with the rest of the week in the 40s & 50s. Translation…heavy coats needed. It’s Winter or January !
