Heavy Rain Threat Lingers

Today was day 3 without significant sunshine and widespread showers & patchy dense fog.  Thursday will be number 4 before we might break out of this rut during the day on Friday.  In fact, Sat-Sunday look mostly dry and pleasantly warm.  But we have to get thru several rainy rounds on Thursday and early on Friday when our drying trend should set in.   The persistent SW upper flow could allow for some “training” storms to keep forming over the same track, hence NWS has kept up the Flash Flood Watch and extended it thru Friday PM.  It appears all this wetness will be gone so that this weekend’s parades will roll dry.   Perhaps it’s the Luck of the Irish but dry weather should stay thru St. Patrick’s Day.   Let’s pay attention to the weather until we get out of this SW flow and the heavy rain threat.  Stay tuned!
