How Sweet It Is !!!

I think it was Jackie Gleason on the HONEYMOONERS back in the 50s who came up with the line….”Oh how sweet it is!”.   I was thinking that a lot today as I tried to hit a golf ball again after a 3 week layoff.    No, it wasn’t referring to my game, but to the feel of the weather.   Pleasant temperatures with low humidity and clear skies…WOW !   If only it could last for weeks, which we know it won’t as we get deeper into May.    In 2014 our last night time low in the 50s occurred on the 16th of May so we have about 2-3 weeks at most to enjoy some decent feeling weather before the unbearable heat & humidity make being outdoors not very pleasant.

In the short term, a northerly flow will keep us in the dry air.  Friday & Saturday will start with comfy cool mornings with pleasantly warm afternoon.  By Sunday we’ll start to feel the change as winds turn back to the east-southeast bringing back the Gulf muggies.   No rain is expected until the mid part of next week so get out and enjoy your outdoors Louisiana!
