Bill Coming to Southern Gulf...

This afternoon’s daylight satellite loop clearly shows a low level circulation centered right over the Yucatan.  NHC tonight has increased their probability for develop to 50%.  They have scheduled a hurricane hunter out for Sunday afternoon, if needed.   I’ve noticed our surface pressures are higher indicating a blocking Atlantic Ridge/Bermuda High will keep whatever develops away from us and will steer it into Texas which doesn’t need any more rainfall.   IF Bill does develop, the impacts for us will be lower shower chances as moisture should be drawn into the storm and our brisk SE winds should last well into next week.   I don’t like to get anxious until we have something to track and , as of tonight, we don’t.  Stay tuned!
