I've been to October and It Feels Great!

This past weekend I returned to Indiana for my Nephew’s wedding.  Highs were in the 70s with nights in the 50s.   I got to experience October in August…Oh what a feeling!   The same front has pushed off our coast bringing us an early taste of Fall.  Of course it’s not as cool as Chicago, but the drop in humidity will allow over night lows to dip into the 50s on the North Shore and 60s away from Lake P. on the South Shore.  Perhaps it’s a sign Fall fronts will start coming early as early season predictions call for another brutally cold and snowy Winter up north.  With El Nino going strong, that appears to be a likely result.  Enjoy the next 2-3 days, summer feeling is back for the weekend.

Tropical Storms Erika is barely hanging on tonight.  NHC says it may fade just like Danny did.   However, their latest track still forecast Erika to become a Hurricane east of Miami by late Sunday.   At present, Erika poses no threat to the Gulf.  Tropical storm warnings are up for the Leeward Islands.  Stay tuned!
