Models are struggling tonight on how & where a major snow storm will develop Friday & Saturday. I feel for the Weathercasters trying to determine where the heavy snowfall will be since being off 25-50 miles can make a difference between a trace to a couple of feet. It’s not our problem but it will be fun to watch Mother Nature at work the next 2-3 days.
Locally, clouds & warmer air have returned ahead of this developing system. A cold front may trigger some storms for us late Thursday before the blast of Arctic air arrives after midnight. Highs Friday & Saturday will stay in the 40s ( strong north winds 20-30!) with freezing temps possible on the South Shore for Saturday & Sunday mornings. The North Shore could see a hard freeze as this will be the coldest air of the season so far. Yet another snowstorm could bring a repeat of action for next week. Somehow the AGW crowd will tie all of this to Global Warming. My take? It’s called Winter! Stay tuned!
