August Is Worst Month for Weathercasters...

So I’m on the golf course today looking at the building clouds to the south during daytime heating.  Winds start out from the SW but kick around to the North(lake breeze) by hole # 9.  T-Storms start rumbling to our south and briefly force us to seek shelter before moving on leaving a very humid air mass for the back 9.   Geez, I want Fall to come as these hot summer days have grown old.   But as we all know, relief is still weeks away so suck it up and carry on.   Fall will arrive during the next 4-6 weeks.

Nothing to report on the Tropical scene.  The Atlantic remains dead while the Pacific is where the action is.   The GFS brings the MJO into the favorable(rising air) phase during the next 2 weeks so we might begin to see some action in our part of the world.  There is nothing happening tonight nor do the model indicate anything will happen in the next 7-10 days.    We still have a long way to go before the “Fat Lady” heads to the stage.  Stay tuned!
