Seasons are Changing...

I was out in my yard today looking & seeing changes happening to flowers, trees & grasses.  The longer days and higher sun angles are working their magic as my flower beds are blooming, trees are starting to bud out & grasses are turning green.   We still have 3 weeks left in Meteorological Winter and models are showing a very active pattern that will bring many storms and cold outbreaks during the next 2-3 weeks.    Once we get into March, it becomes difficult to get super cold air down into the Gulf South.  I will not sweep the leaves out of my garden nor plant any new flowers until we get into next month.

Once the sun came out this afternoon, it really felt nice.  We only reached 58, but it didn't feel bad.   Tomorrow will be warmer (65-70) with Monday approaching 80 before our next front cools us on Tuesday.  Some storms could be ahead of that front Monday night into Tuesday with yet anther front coming on Friday.   Brace yourself for an up and down temperature ride for the next 10-14 days.   Don't put your sweaters away as Winter will not give up without a fight.  Stay tuned!
