The big story this week has been the plunge of the Arctic cold that has surged all the way down to Miami. Look at how most of the Gulf is covered with cold air clouds.
The big dip in the East coast trough is beginning to lift out as the Arctic air mass slowly shifts to the east. You can see the warming starting to show up to our west.
We still have another night, perhaps two, where you need to let the water trickle before you go to sleep.
Zack Fradella showed us how the chill will leave and warmer air returns.
So the chill won't last and that's a good thing. The bad news is once the warm air comes back, look for nightly fog problems. Finally,
look at how close the snow cover is. Northern Arkansas into Tennessee will see a White Christmas. The bottom map was taken at 7 AM. Tomorrow morning will again be that cold so that's why we'll need to trickle the water. But not until later this evening after 9 PM. And to all of you, a peaceful night. Stay tuned!
