I have several lights with 100 watt bulbs that provide enough heat to keep the shed above freezing.. The rest of my larger, heavier plants I wrapped up.
The next concern will be our pipes later tonight. Remember the old pipe rule from my master plumber friend, the late Mickey Schol...exposed pipes will freeze IF the temperatures reach 28 or lower for 4 hours or longer. Here's the computer projection for tomorrow morning.
I would suggest that before you go to sleep tonight, run a pencil thin line of BOTH hot & cold water out of just ONE faucet the farthest from where your water line enters your home. The longer we can hold off on dripping water, the better it will be on Parish water pressure. Unfortunately, this is not just a one night event.
Once we get into next week, we'll see a huge warm up. But we have to get through the coldest air mass here in many a year.
The front has passed Shreveport and will reach us between 7-10 PM.
No, we won't see snow, but my sons did back in Colorado & Oklahoma.
My oldest (Rob) in Longmont. CO. is back in sunshine but he's still below zero. My other sons (Ryan & Justin) in Edmond, OK. just had to make a snowman.
OK, he didn't really make that snowman because they didn't get enough, but you can dream! I may post later tonight before I go to sleep. Hope everyone stays warm & we don't lose power. Stay tuned!

Thank you for the update :)
Just had to point out a blazingly painful mistake on the part of the news channel. Xmas day is Sunday, not Monday. Xmas eve is Saturday, not Sunday. Hard to believe they aired that mistake!
They made the same mistake for Halloween--putting it on Tuesday, November 1st instead of on Monday. October 31st. Embarrassing.
