Yada, Yada, Yada, Cool Down Coming, But When?

Today is the 16th straight day above normal/average with many more to come.  Models keep saying the upper trough that has been over the West Coast will shift back over the East Coast, but they seem to change & delay day to day.

Until that flip-flop happens, all of the South will remain Spring-like while the North lingers with Winter.

NWS is trying to bring a weak front through us for late Friday & Saturday, but I'm not convinced it has enough upper support.

Cool air looks more promising for next week IF the upper trough over the East Coast becomes reality.  We even had a few daytime heating showers bubble up today

Finally, I mentioned the Mississippi River is rising from Cairo, IL. down to us.   Unless there are widespread heavy rains over the Ohio River Valley during the next 2-3 months, the river levels here should be no problem. Today's satellite views find very little snow cover until you get well up into Wisconsin & Michigan.

So I'll be watching for any heavy rains as the snow melt should be minimal.  Stay tuned!
