It's still sweaters and heavy jackets for the upper Plains & Great Lakes, but 50s have dipped all the way down to Dallas & north LA/MS.
I'm thinking the surface front has now passed to our south as an area of surface low pressure moves off the lower Texas coast. This will result in brisk NNE winds for us tomorrow into Tuesday bringing some cooler & drier air. Note Houston is in the 50s!
If this were June, I'd be watching for some kind of tropical development. But with water temps still in the 70s & lots of cooler air being drawn in from the north, look for a more Winter-like system to move across the southern Gulf towards Florida. Models indicate little development even though radar views clearly indicate a low level spin.
IF clouds are slow to leave for Monday, we might struggle to top 70!
Another upper disturbance will bring our next rain chances for Wednesday & Thursday. There could be yet another front coming down for late next weekend. I say, keep them coming! Stay tuned!
