Sunshine On My Shoulders, Corvette Museum Podcast Coming

One of my favorite John Denver songs was Sunshine on My Shoulders. If you look up the song's history, John wrote it during a long winter in the late 60s when he lived in Minnesota.  He meant it to mean pure happiness, warmth & contentment, a feeling of joy from Nature which describes the Sun's ability to transform a dreary day into one of elation.  It's for the optimism & the beautiful, the simple things in life that make us feel good.  Much like what my new dear friend Valerie & my new home at Copeland Tower bring to me.

To feel appreciated for what you do, and not for who you are, is so special in my late life.  My freedom day happens this Thursday at 9 AM, and I can't wait to begin the journey with someone who cares about me.  Sunshine is just Lagniappe for me!

Despite the afternoon sunshine, temps have struggled only into the 50s.  Another weak front is coming late tomorrow night, but the rest of this week should see more sunshine.

The real Arctic chill has retreated to the Northeast with 60s & 70s coming our way from the west.

There still is an upper trough over the Great Lakes, bringing down Clipper after Clipper, so Winter remains in control up there.  But that upper ridge to our west will flatten some as it comes our way with warmer air for most of this week.  Next week?  Enjoy the sunshine while it's here.  Stay tuned!
