Finally Some Rain...

Thursday should be our last mostly dry day before some widespread showers, maybe some T-Storms accompany a cold front Friday afternoon. This front will sweep thru bringing back the good feel air for the weekend. In fact, an east coast trough will set up keeping us with cool nights (50s N-Shore) and pleasant (75-80) days Saturday thru Tuesday.

Not much new regarding the crest coming down the Mississippi. We need not worry about flooding in the metro area unless a ship looses its steering and punctures a levee. The Corps will keeping opening the bays of the Bonnet Carre plus they'll open the Morganza Spillway to make sure river levels stay around 17 feet at the Carrollton gage.
