Sweaters For Christmas?

I’m hoping many of you get sweaters or coats as your Christmas gifts, not to wear right away as we’ll be flirting with 80+ degree warmth.  However, all models are indicating a major pattern shift coming for the country after the New Year.  The east coast trough will be back and it may lingers for many weeks.  This should mean much colder air will descend into the lower 48 sweeping away the memories of an unusually warm December.   Will that mean freezes for us?  It might.  I think we’re likely to also see several “southern snowstorms” that whiten the grounds just to our north.  Usually when the weather is way too warm, it tend to flip to a pattern of way too cold to even things out.   Rarely do we ever see “normal” weather as normals are made by evening out the extremes over time.   One more week of warm December weather before the bottom drops out for the east & south.   Don’t say you weren’t warned.

I will be taking some time off so my blog entries may be limited by my access to a computer.  Enjoy the holidays and Merry Christmas!
