This afternoon satellite loops show a well defined surface circulation has formed over the southern Gulf between Brownsville, Texas & the Yucatan. NHC has scheduled a plane to investigate the area tomorrow morning. Computer models predict slow movement towards the upper coast of Mexico south of Brownsville. Upper level winds are too strong right now for any rapid development...but that could change if this system hangs around for several days. Our current weather is not connected to that weak surface low.
Regarding the comment from "Teacher". As I have said before, if you have something constructive to say or a point to make, we'll post it. If you want to take shots at me, sorry pal...that is not the purpose of this blog. Send me a letter or e-mail me for that. Remember...you no longer control who gets on the blog

Just a simple thanks to all that you do to keep us posted and up on ALL weather. Especially the big stuff!!!! I listen to the NHC...but then I always turn to see what you have to say. Knowing we have a wather "specialist" we can truly trust makes life so much easier!!!!! During the big storms, I always call my family across the state to let them know what Bob says...it amazes them that it's always right. Thank you so much for your dedication!!! We appreciate it!!!
Hi Bob,
I just wanted to say that I love the new format! My husband and I moved, but still have family there. Having your website really helps us figure when we need to worry. We have always liked how you don't only go by what the NHC says, but give your own invaluable opinion as well. Thank you for always being true and not letting people get to you enough to stop giving us such amazingly accurate forcasts. We still love you ♥
i think that bob needs to not call attention to people who do not like him, it only gives them more satisfaction.
