More about Only One Side...

In today's USA TODAY, there is a front page article about communities preparing for climate change. It's another "Chicken Little...the sky is falling" article. "The most expensive thing we can do is nothing". Huh? The best line in the article, the one that makes the most sense is this..."Federal, State,& Local governments shouldn't take on, at a substantial cost to taxpayers (translation - higher taxes), a problem that is global".

Should the world reduce air pollution & carbon emmissions? Absolutely! But even if ALL countries cut CO2 to zero, (not gonna happen) that would not stop climate change as CO2 is not the main driver of our current warming cycle. Many scientists now believe it is the changing output from the sun that has caused climate change over the life cycle of our planet. But you'll never read that side of the story in the papers until our current warming cycle reverses, which may already be happening. Unfortunately, the "science" of climate change has become entwined in the political process of obtaining government funding. ICECAP.US is a great site to keep up on the other side of climate change.

After Sunday morning's stormy weather, we are enjoying a quiet time for a few days. Unother stormy period could return for Thursday & Friday. Will keep you posted.

It seems like the seven-day forecast is showing mainly dry conditions, except for the two days for the predicted precip. I've also been to the Fox8 station this afternnon for the five o' clock news and met Bob Breck.
