Dolly Inland...Tropics Quieting Down

After seeing 3 named storms in July so far, it appears the tropics are going to take a break. There is a weak low way out in the Atlantic, but any development should be slow. Dolly moved inland just around noon on Wednesday as a Category 2 hurricane with winds of 100+ mph passing right over South Padre Island. Damage reports were widespread but mainly confined to roof & window damage. The National Hurricane Center basically nailed the track forecast 4 days out. As they admit, the intensity forecast is still a problem. All in all, I thought they did an excellent job on a well behaved storm. Go ahead and relax for the next 5-7 days. Hopefully August will be less active and we can get some early September cold fronts coming?
