Edouard Slows Down...
After making steady progress to the west during the day, Tropical Storm Edouard has almost come to a halt this evening. It actually appears on radar to have taken a jog (wobble) to the north . The rain shield, which had stayed mainly offshore and along the coast, has spread northward across Houma with new squalls approaching Venice off the mouth of the river. NHC continues to predict landfall near Galveston/Houston midday on Tuesday. If this is indeed a change in direction, we may end up seeing some heavy rains spreading northward over the Metro area later tonight. I'll try to update after 10 PM
