As I mentioned before..."predicting 10-14 days out is fun...Farmer's Almanac goes months ahead...but try forecasting for the next 24, 48 or 72 hours. What's the difference? By the time 10-14 days arrive, very few remember what anyone "predicted". 1,2 or 3 days out...easy to verify (see if you're right or wrong).
My concern is for later this week. Cold air will return in several waves. The first arrives early Wed. AM with the second, stronger surge Late Thusday or early on Friday. The Northshore should see another freeze Sat. AM with S-Shore in the 30s. Yet another front comes Late Sunday or Early on Monday. Bottom line...don't put away the heavy weather gear as it appears the fronts will keep coming. Hey, it could be worse. Just look at our friends up north. This is their harshest winter since the late 70s. Go to icecap.us for more info regarding the recent cooling trend. Unfortunately NASA has our new President's ear. Remember, it's all about money.

Even with other things its always about the money. Its rediculous that a whole generation(mine) believes in this global warming whoopla.I just saw your GW speech from Layola University for the first time on google video and I thought it was excellent and I see it pretty much the same way you do.
It's shameful that those who control the major media can pretty much control what society will believe and not believe. I think that if we we have a few more consecutive below normal winters the whole "Global Warming" campaign will be in trouble, but by then the money will already be spent.
The models are starting to show a some consistancy with the low in the gulf early next week. Could we see a few flakes before it departs to the NE?
Our staff meteorologist is saying snow as far south as us Monday...Bob how's it looking on your end? Deep Gulf Nor'Easter?
Before we head to Lowe's, Home Depot or Harry's Ace to get the shovels...no I don't see snow coming here this weekend. 1) Low pressure is projected to come to close to us. 2) Not cold enough. 3) Moisture will be gone before we get cold enough. For us to get snow, we have to get deep into the cold air,but with the surface low coming so close, warmer air on Sunday should keep us in the 50s & 60s. Sorry, not this time.
I heard today on the radio that GW is the reason we are having all this cold winter this year...thats crazy.
I saw the forecast temp today in Melbourne AU is going to be 43F, that 110F for us...yikes....why not state this instead.
Storm,
I agree with you on that statement, have you seen how cold its getting up in Alsaka/Canada? I dont think the models are handling the cold too well as they usually don't. That low looks like it will be riding right up that front and rapidly deepening as its moving through our area. The exact track would dictate whether or not we would get any winter precipitation. If we were to get frozen precipitation the low would need to pass just south af the GNO. Its still a little early but I will know for sure if we do get that frozen precipitation by friday/saturday time-frame.
