No Fronts This Week...

As we end April and head into May, the upper level jet stream starts to retreat back northward taking away the forces that pushes fronts through us. This week I see no fronts coming so there should be no widespread rainfall. With abundant low level moisture, we could see a few daytime heating showers develop, but that's it. As a strong surface high off the east coast moves away, the brisk easterly flow will relax allowing tides and seas to return to normal. It would be nice to see both weekends of JazzFest end up on a high note! Right now those chances look pretty good. Will update during this week.
