After a near record 86 degrees on Friday, our weather for the next 5-7 days will be more what October is supposed to be like... Cool nights with sunny, dry days. The upper trough will take until mid day Saturday to pull to our east so much of the morning will be ugly with low clouds, some leftover showers and chilly temps in the 50s. The PM will be much brighter and Sunday should see all day sunshine. The upper air pattern for the next week hints of a weak east coast trough that should keep the muggies away until late Thursday or Friday. Get out and enjoy the good feel air this weekend.

Tranquil weather is in store for our area for the next 5 days as an area of High Pressure dominates the region. Expect mostly clear skies with Highs reaching the Low 70's and Lows dropping into the 50's through Thursday. Enjoy it while it lasts!
Did you see that high probability of tropical development in the Atlantic? It sure popped up quickly. It will most likely become subtropical and not affect the US.
I know! You've got to be kidding me! The ECMWF, CMC, UKMET, and GFS all develop an area of low pressure in the Bay of Campeche in about 5- 7 days from now. All models agree on the system slowly drifting North towards the North Gulf Coast ahead of an approaching Trough from the West. They initially show the system being a tropical entity but then loosing Tropical Characteristics as it approaches the northern Gulf Coast. If this does indeed happen it would likely be a sheared and weak system. Its main threat being Heavy Rain. I'll be keeping a eye on this and I will let y'all know if anything changes in the model solutions and there is plenty of time for that to happen. Enjoy the nice weather this week with High Pressure settling over the region. Expect clear skies, dry air, and comfortable highs and lows. And GO SAINTS!
