No Ducks? Gotta be Global Warming !

Reading Bob Marshall's Sunday column made it pretty obvious he has drunk from the Kool-Aid of the AGW alarmists. Bob said last week's slow start of the duck season was because the Earth continues to warm. Hummm...Bob is not keeping up with reality. Only NOAA & NASA (and even they differ with each other!) are claiming the Earth's temps are going up. Many other scientists not tied to the government trough of global warming have since pointed out that the hottest year of record was 1934 (not 1998) and that since 2006, the Earth has been COOLING. As Bob correctly pointed out, the most likely cause of fewer ducks is the constant rains that have turned fields up north into mini-lakes with abundant food for the ducks. It's too easy to blame it on Global warming Bob. You're much better than that.

Well our weekend turned out to be much bleaker than expected as the clouds hung tough all day. Then again, the Saint's won so do you really care about no sun? It'll be back tomorrow after the fog burns off.

Dense Fog will be an issue tomorrow morning. With calm winds and Temperatures dipping to near the Dew Point conditions will be prime for the development of Fog. I am shocked that our local NWS office has not issued a Dense Fog advisory yet. The Fog should burn off by mid-morning. Once the fog burns off it will be very pleasant. With only Partly Cloudy skies temperatures for tomorrow should rise to near 70F afternoon.

Tuesday will be another quiet day, very similar to Monday. Clouds will increase Tuesday evening with possibly a shower Tuesday night prior to Frontal Passage. The Cold Front should push through sometime Tuesday Night. Wednesday and Thanksgiving Day should both be beautiful days, maybe a little chilly though with Highs in the upper 50's to low 60's and Lows in the 30's(NS) and 40's(SS). So we will not need to use our A/C's on Thanksgiving Day after all which makes me happy.

The Cool and Quiet Weather is expected to continue into the weekend. Maybe even your 1st light freeze for those of you that live on the North Shore on Saturday Morning. You can thank the area of High Pressure that will be dominating the Synoptic Region for this stretch of lovely weather.

This is where it gets fun...

The models are starting to like the idea of an Arctic Surge coming sometime in the 1st week of December. The GFS Model being the most ambitious predicting Winter Precipitation falling here on December 1st/2nd for the second run in a row. Of course take that statement with a grain of Salt since it still in the long-range.

Perhaps what NWS saw ONLYREAL was, with a low cloud deck in place, without clear skies there would not be the rapid cooling needed for dense fog. "...1st week in December"...December ! That far out I'm more comfortable saying Saints will be 12 & 0. Snow? Snow? Now Coach Mora can finally say..."Playoffs? Playoffs?" Yea Coach, we're going to the playoff but we want more than the playoffs. It's Miami Gang !

Looks like the GFS is pulling away from the idea of snow. After every model run it shows less moisture behind the front. Even if moisture lingered behind the front it will only squeeze out a few scattered snow showers.
