It appears the first week of November will end the wet pattern that produced the 6th wettest October at Louie Armstrong Airport in Kenner. We missed getting into the top 5 by only .48", but this is a new month and several cold fronts will keep the Gulf muggies away all week. An area of low pressure has formed way down over the SW Gulf along the old front that came thru us on Friday. The interaction of that area of low pressure with several cold fronts pushing into the northern Gulf will make for strong winds, high seas & high tides later this week. Over land, this will be a terrific week with low humidity making for mild days and chilly nights. We need this time to dry out.
All the rain farther north is making it's way down the Mississippi. The Carrollton gage will go above 12 feet late this week, a very high reading for this time of the year.

Gosh... That cold air is really building up there in Alaska and Canada just waiting to get dumped down into the Lower 48. Once it builds enough it won't take much to send pouring all the way down into the deep south. Just something to keep an eye on.
what do u mean by "pouring" ? ...SNOW !?!
Finally Bob, you have been talking about a low pressure forming along a frontal boundary in the Gulf this whole hurricane season. Luckily its formed so late in the season that nothing will come of it.
Bring on those cold fronts... Start pouring OnlyReal, ...I'm ready....
Gotta love Bob's cameo appearences during the Saints game!!! Go Bob Go Saints...7-0 baby....
