Snow on Track for North Shore
NWS will shortly place all of the N-Shore and coastal Mississippi under a Winter Storm Warning with snow accumulations of several inches likely. We have seen sleet across the South Shore but our air temperatures are still in the low 40s so it quickly melts. There should be no road problems this afternoon as temps are well above freezing. Problems will worsen over night, especially after midnight with the heaviest snow expected between 2-6 AM. We might see some flakes S-Shore towards daybreak but little should stick to the ground. Sleet will be mixed with rain throughout the evening and into the night on the S-Shore. Travel to the North Shore should be completed before 9 PM as some roadways may be closed due to icing after that. Most public N-Shore schools are already closed on Friday. Next update will be this evening.

Stay home watch the SuperBowl again... Why do people suddenly like to eat so much bread and drink lots of milk when it snows?
