Still Quiet Tropics...

NHC is watching 2 areas that have a low potential for development, but we are approaching the time of the year, historically where tropical activity ramps up. All the "experts" who forecasted way above normal/average (15-25+ named storms) hurricane activity must be getting nervous the longer we go without any tropical disturbances. Just remember, several seasons didn't have the 1st named storm until August, yet they ended up with 12-15 storms. We'll have 8-12 weeks (Aug-Oct.10) where we'll be on pins and needles every time a swirl forms out in the Atlantic or Caribbean.

After an MRI, I'm told I have 2 compressed discs in my neck that cause me numbness and tingling in my left hand. Since we are going into the heart of hurricane season, I'm putting off surgery until October and will have an epidural done this week. Never knew what the phrase "Life is wasted on the young" until I've gotten old. Appreciate your health...it's something wealth can't buy.

Good luck with the epidural Bob. I know surgery is something that no one wants to have done. Hopefully yours, when you do decide to have it done, will be uneventful.

Thank goodness for the quiet tropics! Only 6 weeks till my cruise to Cozumel...Let's hope the tropics continue to be serine.

I am sorry to hear of your pain! Hope the epidural will relieve the pain. Thank you for putting off the surgery to help US ALL through September and October. We trust your professional opinion. I look forward to reading your blog every week. Take care. We are close in age and, yes, we must enjoy what we have. It does appear that you do!!!
