Tonight's radar loop out of Key West is showing a weak surface circulation is trying to form about 40 miles NE of EYW. NHC has scheduled a plane out of Keesler AFB tomorrow arriving on scene around noon. The noon arrival tells me NHC knows nothing will rapidly develop due to a rather hostile environment. There is an upper low east of West Palm creating some wind shear plus some dry air is wrapping around the upper low. If NHC thought this would rapidly develop, they would have scheduled a plane out sooner. Yea, I've seen the computer models, but remember they need that starting point so don't start heading out of town. In fact, tonight VIPIR run takes whatever forms east of us keeping LA/MS on the dry side of the system. I always like seeing an upper low over/nearby a surface low as that usually limits development. Remember Bonnie? Moved over the Gulf's warmest waters but didn't hold together. Let's hope we see a repeat.
In the short term...Tuesday should see few, if any showers as we will be on the dry side of the Gulf low. Highs could be back into the mid-upper 90s and another heat advisory is up. I'll have my next update Tuesday afternoon. I receive my 2nd epidural shot in the AM for my pinched nerve in my neck. I hope for no complications.

Good luck with your shots...know a few people who've had them and they've worked well. You'll be a bit sore, but they're worth it after a few days. We'll be watching for your take on 94L this week. Thanks!

They will prob tell you to come back for a 3rd shot in 2weeks or so and then after that they won't do anymore for 6 months or so. Just get the surgery done, shots don't fix it. Surgery no big deal, more than likely surgery would take place am and you will be walking out later that day and going home.

Well...it's looking more and more like we could see some inclement weather here in the BIG EASY on late Wednesday and into Thursday as this tropical disturbance makes it's way through the gulf and along the gulf coast. Rain, we could use, a little wind, no big deal....loss of electricity at this time of the year....DISASTEROUS.....Here's hoping the system will not develop into much and will just cool things off here along the gulf coast. 18 days till my cruise....Cozumel here I come!!!
Pressure in Key West has dropped drastically this morning. Currently at 985mb, 25mb drop in past two hours.
