As what remains of TD 5 waddles across us on Tuesday, we could see a repeat of last Thursday when parts of the metro area got drenched with 4-6" of rain within 2 hours. Fortunately, winds and seas show no increase tonight and this system has little time left until it reaches land. Still, that's what happened last time...exploded just as it reached our coast. We need to stay alert for flooding until Wed. PM when what's left finally retreats northward away from us.
WORLDWIDE tonight...still no tropical activity! Don't know exactly why...don't care. Things might explode after Aug. 20th...but then again, maybe not. Bring on those Fall cold fronts!
