Still watching a twist or swirl in the clouds over the central Caribbean close to the coast of South America. I do expect NHC to make this swirl a depression on Thursday and make it TS Matthew on Friday before it makes landfall over central America. The problem comes after that. Most computer guidance takes whatever is left of this circulation back over the western Caribbean and heads it northward into the southern Gulf early next week. Fortunately for us, we should have a cold front push thru over the weekend steering any storms to our east. Lots could happen over the next 4-5 days so keep up on the weather in case something changes.
Was looking back over the past 5 years and found we usually see nights into the 50s by the second or third week in October with the Northshore in the 40s ! Still have a way to go before sweater weather arrives but Summer 2010 is now officially over...however we will probably have several more days of 90+. Our current streak is at 17 straight days!
