Another Southern Snowstorm?

You gotta be kiddin'...Another Southern Snowstorm is forecasted for late Wednesday into early Thursday morning. Tonight's VIPIR run brings the snow line almost down to the LA/MS line south of MCB. The key once again will be 1) the track of the low and 2) how much cold air gets into the system. In addition, models are hinting that a secondary wave could form along the front late Thursday into Friday after we are deep into the cold air. Could it snow in metro New Orleans? Only if the above scenarios pan out. NWS is talking about a BTR to Poplarville line for snow vs rain. Could get exciting. Stay tuned !

yeah i also seen where the NWS thinks our area will see just freezing rain early thursday AM... yuck! I want the white stuff - especially since this could be our last chance this season.... I'm hoping the Low will sink a little further south than expected...

I am with you anonymous, if it HAS to be cold and rainy.....then it should be snow! Who needs icy roads? Let's just hope this pans out this time...Several shots this year and we have missed them all!

Bread and Milk? Are you suggesting that everyone will hit the supermarkets and stock up as we do for hurricanes? LOL....I doubt if it does snow lightly or sleet, it won't last long enough to have to stock up! At least I hope not.
