Pressure On...Parades coming...

Next to evacuating for hurricanes, the great pressure local weather folks face is "will it rain on our parade"? As the bigger parades kick off this weekend, the weather forecast looks very promising. A weak front will race thru on Friday with most of the showers our ahead of it and ending here by daybreak. Drier air filters in during the day leaving Friday night's parades dry with slightly cooler temps (50s). Saturday should see mostly sunny skies and temps will warm to 70-75 with the evening parades rolling with temps in the 60s. Sunday turns breezy and more humid but highs should be near 80. Any showers come after dark into Monday morning with cooler weather following for the first part of next week. All in all, can't get much better than that.

We may see more record warmth on Thursday as the records are 81 at MSY and 82 at Audubon Park.
