2 Weeks Done...Tropics Remain Quiet.

June is normally a quiet month for any tropical development mainly because we still have the westerlies(wind shear) down over us and tropical waves are just starting to come off of Africa. Not seeing anything that looks like possible development for the next 7-10 days. The Eastern Pacific appears to be the place for tropical development and that is good news for us. Looking back at previous years finds that when the East Pac is active, the Atlantic sees below normal activity and vice versa. So keep those storms forming WEST of Central America!

Our upper ridge shows no signs of leaving before the mid part of next week. That means our rain chances will be near zero resulting in near record or record breaking heat the next 5-7 days. I've seen many years where June ends up as our hottest month(because of little rain) and August and September are not as hot due to more daily T-Storms. So don't get depressed that our heat will keep getting worse for the next 2-3 months.
