Severe Risk...Then much colder !!!
SPC has placed all of SE LA & coastal MS in a "slight risk" area for severe storms later tonight. Once again those storms won't arrive until most of us are going to bed. Hope you have your weather radios on? Temps will be falling during the day on Sunday with the high happening probably at midnight. Models have reverted back to the earlier week solutions that bring the hint of some flakes down into LA & MS for late Sunday into Monday AM.(right on AlbanySnowmaker!) Highs on Monday could stay in the 40s if we don't see much sun! After being near 80 this afternoon, next week looks much cooler so get those sweaters and coats ready!

well no snow :( hahaha, but there were several reports of sleet pellets in and around the Kentwood area earlier this morning - it did prompt the NWS to include mention of sleet showers in the forecast for the north section of Tangipahoa/St Helenia,etc... So, Bob, it looks like next week seems to be another cooolllllldddd one, huh? :)
