Back to Reality...
We are in Meteorological Winter so temps shouldn't be flirting with 80 degrees as we have been for the past 3 days. Our "normal/Average" highs should be in the upper 60s and for the rest of this week, highs won't get out of the 50s. We are nearing the time of the year when we start thinking about the Pipe Rule( temps 28 or below for 4 hours or more) and hard freezes. The coldest air of the season has plunged out of Canada and dropped Denver to below zero. Luckily for us, the upper trough over the west is not expected to dip over the Gulf South so the core of this cold will stay to our north. The N-Shore will see freezing temps again later this week while the S-Shore will fall into the 30s. Sweaters and jackets/coats will be required for the next 5-6 days. By Sunday or Monday temps will rebound above 60. Yippee!
