Heavy Rainfall Potential...

Some of our worse floods have occurred when a slow moving front stalls across Se LA/ MS and creates the "training effect" where storms keep developing over the same track. That can result in 2-3" per hour easily overwhelming our pumping capacity. Pay attention on Wednesday to see if that happens as NWS is indicating 2-4" likely with isolated amounts up to 6". They have issued a Flash Flood Watch thru noon on Thursday. Rarely are major floods (10-15") predicted ahead of time and, unless the line just stops on us, we are not likely to see major problems here tomorrow. Just a heads up to keep up with Wednesday's Weather.
