For 4 straight days our high has been 88. That streak will be broken maybe as soon as Friday as our 1st 90+ temp is likely in the next 2-3 days. An upper ridge will move over us capping most shower activity & allowing temps to inch higher. It appears rain chances for the next 5-7 days will stay slim to none. Models are hinting that a weak cool front could push down to us in the 7-10 day time frame. Get the shorts out and just stay hydrated during the heat of the day wearing a hat & using sunscreen. Summer in the South is no big deal...unless you move down from the North ! Get over it!
NOAA said today La Nina is officially gone. El Nino is expected to develop & that will hopefully increase the shear over the tropics making Hurricane Season 2012 much less active than the past 2 years. Stay tuned!
