Dealing With Debby ?
Recent satellite pictures sure show what appears to be an organizing tropical depression down over the southern Gulf. Chances of it coming straight north to the LA/MS coast are not likely, although this morning's European model did bring it close to the mouth of the river on Monday morning before turning it west into Texas. Most of the other models turn it to the east ore northeast and bring it into Florida north of Tampa late on Sunday. My thoughts are 1) this will be initially a very slow moving storm. It may take until Monday to reach any coastline. 2) With a deepening east coast trough coming by late in the weekend and a building upper ridge to our north & west, my gut tells me this will be a strong Trop. Storm at worst and it won't be our problem. We show stay mostly dry & hot into next week. As always, stay tuned!
