Ernesto has made landfall just north of Belize tonight with max winds of 85 mph. Luckily it has missed the major population centers and hopefully no one will be hurt. Joe Bastardi of WeatherBell Analytics believes we are going into a very active next 3-4 weeks in the tropics. The remains of Florence is encountering strong wind shear and is not likely to get stronger until it gets closer to the U.S. east coast. Another wave out in the Atlantic has a circulation and could become Gordon in the next several days. Stay tuned!
Of bigger news...a cold front could be coming for this weekend. No foolin'...Late Friday night winds should turn northerly and by Sat. AM you should feel the drier, not cooler, air. Saturday night on the North Shore could be in the 60s !!!
