A cold front will sweep thru Louisiana during the day on Saturday bringing an early Fall preview 2 weeks before the official start of Fall on the 22nd. Unusual? Not really, as a look back at last year found a record low of 63 on this date...the result of Tropical Storm Lee dragging down cool air behind it. Northshore lows could dip into the upper 50s by monday morning with 60s on the Southshore away from Lake P. The muggies will return by Wednesday along with a few showers.
The swirl off the LA/MS coast is still there but it has no weather around it. With the front coming down, whatever is left will be pushed to our east into Florida. The Atlantic still has 2 named storms churning, but the rest of the tropics are quiet. 3 weeks until October! Stay tuned!
