Lorenzo Coming Soon...

Recall that NOAA’s 2013 season prediction called for 13-19 named storms.  So we must have at least 2 more named storms to make their forecast “correct”.   Tonight NHC is thinking something might form again way off of the Cape Verde Islands.  That would be Lorenzo, the 12^th named storm.  With 7 weeks left in the season, 13-14 seems no problem.  But so what?  Shows the folly of those early season predictions.  If you can’t tell me where or when & how strong, it’s like the Farmer’s Almanac calling for a “blizzard in New England in early January”.  Duh?   Not very helpful info .   I’m done tracking something that far out.  Our season is over.  Now it’s on to when will our 1^st freeze arrive?   Maybe snow this year?  Stay tuned!
