Higher Rain chances

In the summer across the Gulf South, it usually rains across 40-50% of the area.   The triggers are typically 1) daytime heating, 2) Sea breeze front or 3) weak cold front staggering in front the north or 4) an upper level low.   Notice I don't include tropical systems since then the rain coverage jumps to near 100%.   Today's storms were caused by #s 1 & 4 with the same features expected to develop more storms on Wednesday.  A weak frontal boundary will add into the mix on thursday before we dry out & heat up for the weekend.  The rain not only is welcomed news for gardeners, but it keeps our highs below 90.   No model develops a tropical system during the next 10-14 days.
