The National Weather Service has been very good forecasting the coming cold this weekend. Friday will be a really nasty day, one I would say is “In Da Dumper”. Temps in the 30s & 40s with a cold rain mixed with some sleet far North Shore requires the heaviest weather gear. Sunshine returns for Sat-Sunday, but temps will struggle to get into the 40s. A hard freeze is expected on the North Shore with full precautions needed for pipes, people, pets & plants for Saturday & Sunday. Even us south of Lake P. should see a light freeze so you’ll need to protect any plants you want to save from this Winter chill. This current cold blast will not last long as we’ll be back 70+ by the middle of next week.
California has been pounded lately by rain & snow and the northern part of the state no longer has drought issues. Central Calif. Still has drought issues, but more storms are coming during the next 2-3 weeks. This rainy season so far has been terrific, but more is needed. The recent rainy weather across the SE has really put a dent in their drought so this Winter is giving much needed moisture to those that were hurting. Stay tuned!
