What a gorgeous November afternoon over most of the South with plenty of sunshine and comfy cool temperatures.
But changes are coming with one storm over the Rockies kicking out tomorrow followed by another for the weekend. These storms will cause major airport delays if you're traveling to cities farther to the north. If you stay south, the only travel problems will be some showers. Locally, you can see how the return flow is bringing clouds back to east Texas and western Louisiana plus, look at the warm air! South Texas is pushing 90 and we should easily be into the 70s for Tuesday & Wednesday. A weak front will chill us slightly for Thanksgiving Day with another warm up coming on Friday and Saturday ahead of our next front. That front will be stronger and Sunday and Monday will require the heavy coats once again as highs will struggle to get out of the 50s.
The cloud mass over the Rockies is storm #1 with the cloud mass off the NW coast being system # 2. The wild card is the mass of clouds SW of the Baja that will streak ahead of the second system. I'm thinking that moisture will stay to our west for Thanksgiving, but it could help keep some low clouds around making for a gloomy Thursday. For many of us, it will be a day of Thanksgiving with our family, while I know many who have lost family members this past year will not enjoy the day. As always, pray for those afflicted with sadness that, over time, their pain will hurt less. I will take some time away from my computer so Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
