Rain Is Gone, Almost Chilly Tonight...

This afternoon has turned sunny after a gloomy start of showers & T-Storms.  We have a dry stretch that should last through the weekend.  All of the stormy weather is being pushed into the Gulf and to our east as a deep upper low is dragging down some dry & comfy cool air from the north.

It appears a little wave has developed along the southern end of the storm system helping the cooler and drier air to plunge well down into the Gulf.   This is pretty chilly air for late April and look for some 40s on the North Shore for the next several mornings.

Look at dew points in the 30s & 40s to our north & west.  That is terrific feel good air that will allow chilly nights with warm, comfortable days.

Don't look for any return flow off the Gulf until late this week.   Long range models keep hinting at cold fronts coming well into the first & second weeks in May.  The longer we can keep away the extreme heat the better.    I might need a sweater to walk Bailey this evening!  Stay tuned!
