The Summer We Remember...

On this first full day of summer, our typical daytime heating showers finally returned after many days of dry weather.   They were not everywhere, but some folks received some good drenching while others barely wet the ground.

What has changed is the low level moisture/humidity has increased as dew points soared back into the 70s.   The clouds and showers keep temps less hot as most spots were in the 70s & 80s.

Several weak upper swirls have helped fire off clusters of storms today and that will be the case for the rest of this week.   In other words, look for basic summer time as we head towards July.

The Tropics are quiet, but NHC still says the system nearing 40 degrees north latitude might become a sub-tropical storm. (Seriously?!!!)   The Gulf and Caribbean are clean and the African Dust is coming that should keep things quiet.  Stay tuned!  Happy Father's Day Guys.
