Whether his center passes south or north of NOLA won't matter since there is no weather around it.
If he was going south of the city, I believe we'd be seeing ESE surface winds. But that's not the case and is why I still think the center will move over or north of Lake P.
Seas are 7-8 feet out over the open Gulf and I want you to remember that when Laura passes by on Wednesday. Let's look at her features.
Obviously she is a much bigger disturbance, but she remains disorganized as she approaches the western tip of Cuba. She should enter the open Gulf after midnight since her forward speed remains very fast(WNW @ 20 mph)
The NHC's center line track has not shifted at all and their confidence in where Laura is going has allowed them to issue Hurricane Watches for the upper Texas & SW LA. coasts. We are outside the cone of error, however we will be on the stronger side of this storm. IF Laura become a Cat. 2 (as predicted) or even a Cat. 3, our surge here (3-5') will likely be way more than Marco. As long as Laura's track doesn't start shifting back to the east, SE LA/MS should miss any major impacts. Impacts will be higher from Pt. Fourchon westward. I do not plan on closing my shutters or moving my potted plants. So far our double whammy hit from 2 Hurricanes will not happen as Marco fizzled and Laura should stay far enough south & west. Until Laura passes 90 degrees west latitude, I will not let down my guard nor so should you. Next update after 10 pm. Stay tuned!

Thanks for all you do Bob, lots-O-Egg on NHC faces though. No handle on this from start to finish, big loss of trust.
Thanks Bob......Always in point.....GOD BLESS
Of course Bob doesn’t want to talk about Marco because he said it was obviously moving East and didn’t understand how the NHC isn’t picking up on his obvious move East... uhh no Marco is tracking just like they said he would ... west.
If you don't like or trust Bob Breck then don't follow his blog. Others like myself look and trust what he says and we don't need or want your comments or attitude so let's see you leave this blog like Marco from Louisiana.
Confused I thought Bob said Marco was going East away from us?
thank you bob love chrissy in louisiana
Bro. You are holding a grudge against Bob because of some interaction you two had when you were young. Some mess about thunder & lightning???? I saw your comment on the post before this one. NOW I understand why you are so angry. Seek help, Anon.
Yeah, agreed....suggestion to “angry anonymous”: go get on Twitter with the rest of the angry slime and be bitter there.
Get a life loser!!! Bob Breck is awesome!!!
Thanks Chief Meteorologist Bob Breck
Thank you Bob!!!! Your always able to explian in layman's terms. It keeps me calm and prepared. I haven't watched any of the local news nor what NHC has predicted or presented. Bob's Blog is the only thing I've payed any attention too.
Anonymous how about you reveal your true identity ? I bet he's an angry weather man that got his spot light stolen
Good deal Bob. Wish i could buy you dinner after this !
Anonymous how about you reveal your true identity ? I bet he's an angry weather man that got his spot light stolen 😂
Thank you Bob for still working to make sure we have the information we need to stay informed.
Thank you for being a voice of reason and calmness.
Great work as usual Bob. All cool calm facts , no hype!!!
Where is the new update bob the suspense is killing me lol..
So you think it could still move more East?
According to Bob Marco was going to Mississippi. What happened?
Looking at radar sure looks like eye will emerge north east of Cuba which would put it north of the cone which would be bad news for us.
Laura going west more?
Thanks Bob, I'm more worried bout Laura. We all miss you. Keep us informed.
Not to start an argument but Mr. Breck did say Marco wouldn’t even become a hurricane, it did. Then he said it was turning and going East and everyone was wrong, it didn’t go East but is going west. So what’s the deal?
Is anyone who is arguing with Bob over where Marco was going looking at any radar pics ALL the rain from Marco is falling in Alabama and Florida to the East. Thanks Bob for being honest cautious and on point.
Thank you so much Bob! You are one of the few if not only person in the area that not only says what he thinks but offers reasons to back your opinions. I liked hearing you say you weren't closing your shutters or moving your plants. That is information to which we can all relate. So many of us will continue to look to you for an expert opinion.
What do you think the effects will be on Southeast Louisiana from Laura?
