The satellite presentation of Gamma & Delta sure has changed as Gamma is a well defined low level swirl, but all the T-Storms have been swept away to the NE. NHC now takes this back into the Yucatan and weakens it during the next couple of days. Delta on the other hand is getting better defined all the time.
With the warmest waters on the planet over the NW Caribbean and the lack of any wind shear hindering development, Delta should quickly become a Hurricane later today or on Tuesday. It will not reach the Gulf until Tuesday night into Wednesday morning.
So what will steer Delta on her track into the Gulf? Right now there is a large, cool & dry surface high pressure over the Southeast that is drifting to the east.
There is a cold front up over Montana & North Dakota that will push southward this week. As the high pulls off the east coast, it will allow an avenue for Delta to move northward into the Gulf. As the next front approaches late in the week, the upper trough steering it should begin to turn Delta to the north and then NE. How soon that happens will be the key. Since I've had some wi-fi issues getting this post out, I'll have more thoughts later this afternoon. Stay tuned!

no worries here Bob as you told me last week The Fat Lady has sung!
A good bet that the Hurricane Center is going to nudge the next forecast track some more to the west.
@HundredOaks I hope it goes super west to avoid LA.
@Bob What do you think the effects of Covington, LA might be if it keeps going west?
Maybe you should sing on away from his blog
We have been lucky this year so far many times. I really hope we are lucky again but I don't want it to hit lake Charles again nor do I want it to hit Alabama Mississippi again they was both horrible storms. I don't want it to come here either. Just hope it lingers in the central Gulf of Mexico and diminishes and never hits land. Prayers to whom ever it affects.....
Awaiting your next report
Give us your thoughts Bob. Hope and Pray on this one. Prayer's out to all...
