Sure, a couple of them bring Eta farther to the west, but remember Eta is a struggling Tropical Storm and not a Cat. 3 Hurricane Kate like back in 1985. NHC's center line track sits Eta down over the loop current for today and tomorrow so there could be an opportunity for it to regroup. However, I think it's important to see that NHC is no longer calling for that to happen keeping Eta a Tropical Storm. And why is that?
Eta is surrounded by dry air that has effectively killed off it's core T-Storms. There is a westwern trough over the Rockies moving to the east, but it will not dig down into the Gulf South bypassing Eta and leaving it to sit in the eastern Gulf into this weekend. Wherever it ends up, Eta will be a big rainmaker like over south Florida, but it will not turn into a super wind storm as it's in a hostile environment with only a limited time to redevelop/
Frankly, the big weather news is the warmth covering the east and the cold over the west.
This pattern will not change until the weekend when a stronger upper trough finally brings us some cooler air, but that won't happen until Saturday and the soonest.
