The thinking hasn't changed by SPC as they are keeping the main severe threat to our north tonight into Friday. The latest California storm is now ejecting across Arizona & New Mexico and will quickly race towards the Great Lakes.
Bruce pointed out the strong storms firing over Texas, but the model timing only brings us a few quick downpours near daybreak on Friday.
After a cloudy start, Friday should turn sunny & warm but much less humid.
Note the lack of real cold air behind the front. This will be a great weekend to be outdoors.
A quick warm up arrives by Monday. Finally, 7 years ago today was my last day on-air at Ch. 8.
After 45+ years in broadcasting, I choose to leave after several health scares. I still do a blog for FOX 8 and they are keeping me on as their hurricane consultant for 2023. Hopefully, it'll be another quiet season? Stay tuned!
