Cold Front Brings Friday AM Storms, Dry Weekend...

Our 4 day dry spell will end Friday morning as a cold front will slide through.  The upper energy will remain far to our north so there is only a slight risk for any severe storms with the front.  This front has a history of producing large hail like the golf ball size that hit my son's (Justin) house in Edmond yesterday.

The bottom view is an actual golf ball that I use with the top view collected by Justin yesterday.

The red boxes high light Tornado watches with the blue being Severe T-Storm watches.  Amber Wheeler gave us the time line for those morning storms.

Between 9-noon appears to be the most likely time to expect rain tomorrow with a secondary line coming with the front after dark.   Since we don't expect this front to stall, rainfall totals should be 1-2" at most.  Let's pay attention Friday morning just to make sure we're not caught off guard if severe weather develops.  Have your FOX 8 Weather App. ready to alert you.

Slightly cooler & drier air filters in for Saturday & Sunday with another front coming by Wednesday of next weekend.

As we head towards May, I see at least 2 more real fronts coming.  I frankly enjoy this time of the year (along with October) and it's only a matter of time before we know what's coming.  Get out and enjoy it.  Stay tuned!
